Professor Gary Rubloff

Gary Rubloff has 20 years' industry (IBM) background in microelectronics research and management ranging from science to manufacturing and IP.  In the subsequent 30 years in academia his research and program management have evolved to a focus on thin film microfabrication as a highly developed technology which can enable high performance energy storage.  As Distinguished University Professor at the University of Maryland, he led an 11-year Energy Frontier Research Center for the Department of Energy and follow-on programs, was founding Director of the Maryland NanoCenter, and served as Director of the Institute for Systems Research.
